Couple Goals = Check!

The couple now had a home and decided to bring home a pet! The next major problem was to come in terms with the kind of pet they wanted. They were lucky Dan found an American bulldog named Sir Wiggle-ton in a shelter where the dog was living for the past 100 days. He minute they laid eyes on him, they knew they had to bring him home.
Dan was EVIDENTLY so in love with the dog, not just him even his girlfriend was so happy to have him! If you look at the picture you can tell how much Dan loved the dog and the dog seems pretty happy himself! I mean THEY LOOK SO HAPPY! It’s almost like they belong with each other, Dan ended up naming him Diggy.
Just like his dad, Diggy loves adventure and is always ready for a road trip! Dan had a habit of road tripping with his brother/friends and he made sure to take diggy out, after all they were best friends! Diggy was having a great time, nonetheless – Dan loved showing digging off and this photograph above is proof!
Walk Of Fame
The most attractive feature of Diggy was his wide-mouthed grin! SO Dan obviously had a habit of trying to capture this moment, Diggy’s smile captured the heart of everyone he met. Meanwhile, Dan was just busy taking pictures of Diggy and make him a social media sensation!

Here is what Detroit Rescue posted, a picture of Diggy and his new family Dan. The photo caption read, ‘We apologize but we had to share, after almost 100 days in the shelter, Sir Wiggleton got adopted’.
Here’s What Happened Next
As you all know, Dan is a great parent to Diggy and both of them have so much fun!
The duo did a lot of things together, after a few days of the picture going viral the Watford Police Department came to Dan’s house, he obviously had a natural question in his mind
Things Seem Tense
According to the Watford police, it was illegal to keep a Pitbull and Pitbull mixes as pet in the vicinity.
The law presumed as these to be dangerous dogs and since it was a crime to be found in possession of one.
The only sane option left was for Dan to return Digg to the Detroit Dog Rescue! Dan was left heart broken.
The Situation Didn’t Look Good!
Dan wasn’t ready to let go of his best friend, he was hopeful the police would leave the issue with a warning. Dan said, when the cops arrived Dig went to see them and he was very kind to them! The police also responded by petting Digg and that he seemed like a good boy!
Can’t Get Enough!
Dig was an American bull dog but he had a striking resemblance to a Pit Bull. In the beginning people did mistake him for a Pit. The person who filed the complaint led the officers into the same confusion!
Sadly, the officials did not listen to Dan and informed the Detroit News that it looks like Pitbull and they’d write Dan a ticket. Dan was obviously disturbed by the fact that he had three days with Dig despite the adoption papers stated he was an American bulldog. If I were Dan, I’d be upset too! Look at this adorable face.
Detroit dog rescue had taken all the necessary procedure before adoption! The organization clearly stated that Diggy was a bulldog and not a Pitbull. In fact before giving away the dog, the group had taken the approval of township. Dan was outraged and he wanted to bring his boy back at any cost! He turned to Facebook to seek help and even sought from animal rights activists.
Supporters On Social Media React
After Dan tried to seek help on Facebook, a lot of fans/friends were disappointed with the news! The audience demanded the reunion of his owner and pet. It was not a favorable situation for the rescue too, the case filed by Dan had potential of harming the reputation of the organization.
The supporters arranged for a petition online to remove the ban of Pit bulls/American Bull dogs from the city so that Dan can reunite with Diggy Dan was all set to fight his case in the court and he was fighting for two purposes. He wanted to get his dog back and also to make the authority lift the ban on the adoption of PITBULLS.
Now in order to save his dog form leaving him, Dan had the only option of proving that Diggy only looked like a Pitbull and was not actually one.
So, thousands of people came in to support Dan and his girlfriend in and signed the petition. The authorities however had not come to a final decision! Dan got ample support from fans who came to a landmark town meeting to promote his cause
Fortunately the District court dropped all charges looking at the emotions invested in this story and they just wanted to keep the citizens of their state, happy. In fact fighting for Diggy turned into a historic event and the authorities had given in.
Thank One And All!
Dan also thanked the people who supported him, he took to social media and shared some adorable photos of his family. He wrote “Thanks Kristina Millman-Rinaldi and Detroit Dog Rescue for sticking with us throughout this process. Thank you Bobby Murkowski and Miller Canfield for the Great Job done! Thanks to everyone involved.”
It was a beautiful end, Diggy is reunited with his family! Dan and his girlfriend are beyond elated to have him and things worked out perfectly for them!
