Summer is all about light hair, tan lines and glowing skin. Yes, it’s that time of the year when you flaunt your beautiful skin and dresses. Summer is also a season where you are expected to may more attention to your skin, as the heat and sun can cause adverse damage.

The only way to stay healthy is to eat clean and take care of your self right! The harsh weather does not leave tan lines on your skin, but also clogs your pores due because of excessive sweating and dust pollution.

As much as I love summer, my skin has a tough time coping with the weather.  So, I fixed myself some home-made remedies that will help me take care of my skin during summer, not just take care if it but get glowing skin.

If you often feel that your skin does not have the require glow, it’s a clear sign that you are not drinking enough water. How do I know this? Because been there, done that!

The most basic requirement to cleanse is drink water, lots of it. Water helps you flush out all the toxins and waste accumulated in your body. Treat yourself to fresh fruits, juices, coconut water, any drink you fancy. Fluids also help you detox the skin, keeping it soft and clean.

You are what you eat and it’s true, what you eat has a way of showing up on your skin. Avoid eating heavy and oily foods, salty foods as well, it can have a dehydrating effect on your body.

Consuming high-water content fruits during summer is essential, it provides your body with nutrients and anti-oxidants. Make sure you have a right balance of the colors and green!



Glowing Skin


Working out is a natural way to get glowing skin, go out there and sweat it out. Pick a sport or a workout that you like, if you are hard-core gym fan hit the gym, if you are a yoga buff, join a club.

Do not hesitate when it comes to working out – exercise helps you get rid of toxins and in turn results in glowing skin. A few simple exercises in the morning can help you increase blood circulation of the body and gives you a natural glow.

Cleanse your skin twice a day, a natural home remedy that I love is a good quality cleanser, if you don’t have one you can use rose water. It works magic on your skin!

Choose a Aloe Vera and cucumber gel-based cleanser if you a acne prone skin. In fact you can prepare a natural cleanser at home, a cup of yogurt with honey makes a natural cleanser. It doesn’t just cleanse your skin, it also moisturizes it. Apply this mixture for 10 minutes and rinse it.
